Einleitung

This guide is to remove the headlamp. Left and right remove identical. This will have to be done to either change a light bulb or to remove the complete headlamp for exchange.

    • Here is the Jeep GC. Removal of the headlamp is identical for both sides.

    • By opening the hood and looking straight down on the headlamp assembly, the 6mm hex head jack screw can be seen.

    • Use a 6mm socket and nut driver to remove the jack screw. 1/4 socket will not fit 9/32 does, but it is a bit sloppy

    • Remove the long jack screw.

    • Grasp upper inboard and lower outboard corners of headlamp and forcefully pull headlamp outward.

    • Remove all bulb sockets from headlamp module. Separate headlamp from vehicle.

Not on mine. Just rechecked and it is a 6mm on my Jeep

I’m removing it to replace fan cooling module. I heard I can cut through to get to it without disassembling the grill bumper etc
