Einleitung

A dim or burnt-out brake light can potentially lead to automobile accidents as well as a ticket from law enforcement. If you have a 2013 Toyota Corolla or similar model, this guide can save you the trouble of going to an automobile service by helping you do it yourself. Be sure to disconnect the battery of the car, prior to beginning this repair.

    • Open the trunk of the vehicle.

    • Locate the taillight area that needs fixing either on the right and/or left.

    • We are fixing the left side in this guide.

    • Using a flathead screwdriver, pry the 3 fasteners out.

    • Pull back the covering to reveal the taillight area.

    • Locate the brake light bulb in the brown socket at the inner end of the taillight area.

    • Rotate the brown socket counterclockwise and pull out the socket.

    • Pull the nonfunctioning light bulb from its socket and replace with the new, functioning bulb

    • Put the brown socket back in place and rotate clockwise to secure it

    • Put the covering back in place and secure the 3 fasteners. No tools are required, simply push the fasteners into position.
