Ducati is the Ferrari in the motorcycle world. With that being said, it is very expensive to take your Ducati into a Ducati dealership for a simple oil change. Lucky for you; In this guide you will learn how to properly drain your old oil and change it for new oil on your 2009 Ducati Hypermotard 1100 with simple step by step directions.

It is extremely important to change the oil in your motorcycle to remove debris and prevent corrosion in your engine. Basically the cleaner your oil, the cleaner your engine will be. The cleaner the engine, the longer the lifespan of your Ducati will be.

If you have just been out for a ride, let the engine cool a bit before beginning so you don’t get burned. The engine may get warm.

    • Remember to be careful when removing the bolt because the oil could potentially be hot if the motorcycle was turned on before.
