Einleitung

The Smart FOB remote key design is identical for various Honda models including Odyssey / Pilot / CRV/ HRV / Accord / Civic / Ridgeline. The steps listed can be used to replace the battery on the mentioned models.

    • Remove the mechanical key by moving the tab on back of key & pulling out the key.

    • Separate the shell using a large screw driver or by using the mechanical key. The shells have a separating tab in the middle. Pry open the shell by gently twisting the screwdriver or the mechanical key into the separating tab.

    • Remove the battery carefully using a small screw driver.

    It is possible to remove the battery with the valet key, which makes this a "tool-less" repair. Be careful not to pry out the main board, which holds the front buttons in place.

    • Replace the battery. Make sure not to damage the 2 tabs holding the battery. Do not press or force the battery into its place, slide it underneath the tabs.

    • Put the outer shell together and gently press and snap the two half's in place
