Situations where your Chromebook is unable to display wireless settings or is experiencing dropped connections, is commonly a sign that your Wi-Fi card in the device is faulty and needs to be replaced. This guide will walk you through replacing the Wi-Fi card in your Acer Chromebook 15 CB3-532-C6T1.

Prior to beginning the repair, be sure your Chromebook is powered off and is not plugged into the wall charger.

    • Locate the Wi-Fi card. It will be white chip beside the motherboard.

    • Remove the 3 mm screw holding the Wi-Fi card in place using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

    • Gently grab the edges of the Wi-Fi card and pull it out from the motherboard.

    • Carefully remove the two coaxial antenna cables that attach the Wi-Fi card to the motherboard. One is black and the other is white.
