Einleitung

Use this guide to remove or replace the Acer Chromebook 15 CB3-532-C47C’s laptop keys.

Computer keys are used to enter information into the device, and is the main way to input text. Malfunctioning computer keys may not depress, may not type characters, or may type extra characters when pressed. Keys may also need to be removed to clean the keyboard, or as part of cleaning the entire Chromebook. For this laptop the entire keyboard cannot be removed as it is riveted into the Chromebook’s body.

Before completing this guide refer to the troubleshooting page for other possible solutions.

Power off and unplug the device before performing any replacements.

    • Place the plastic opening tool directly underneath the key and pry upwards to remove the key.

    • Do not use too much force to avoid separating the retainer clip on the keyboard.

    • Repeat with each key that needs to be removed.

To reassemble your device, press the keys back onto the keyboard so that the figures are facing you.
