Hello, in this guide I will be showing you how to replace the Lip and Follower on an airsoft green gas pistol magazine.

Performed on:

    • Place the magazine on its side, with the release valve facing you.

    • Use a small bit and a hammer to carefully remove the two pins that hold the lip.

    • Be very careful and hold the magazine spring with your finger or something else, because when you remove the pins, everything may fly into oblivion.

    • Compare both old and new parts to ensure that they are the same. Here you can see my old ones on the left and the new ones on the right.

    • Carefully push down on the rubber seal to remove it and put it on the new Lip.

  3. ZIiGyEtuLB3qvAF2
    • The magazine Follower should be put with the notch facing you.

    • The proper order of reassembly is the following, from botton to top:

    • Magazine -> Spring -> Follower -> Lip -> Pins

Abschluss

Be careful when working with springs, as they can eject things into space.

Hey, huge thanks for the guide! Do you know if it's possible to install "real" grips on one of those(have a pair lying around that I've got from local gun store ages ago(I think those are for S&W 1911). Really like how those feel so was thinking if it's possible to install 'em on my airsoft.
Thanks in advance!

Hello, you will have to check physically. They pretty much look the same. Maybe you will need to remove the mag release extention to fit them. Also check the length of the screws, or use the original ones from the airsoft version, if they fit the new grips.
