This guide will assist you to remove the cooling fan from your Asus G501JW-BHI7N12 in order to replace it. A faulty fan could be causing overheating issues in your laptop, so replacing your fans or cleaning the dust out from the fans could be a good way to cool your laptop down.

    • Unscrew and remove the four 5mm Phillips #0 screws from the cooling fan.

    • The cooling fan will be clipped to the case, we suggest pulling it toward the front of the case. Using the spudger can be helpful to work the fan loose.

    • One of the fans will have a connector that partially covers it. Pull the connector loose by flipping up the plastic clamps on both ends and follow steps 2-4.
