Use this guide to systematically disassemble the Bella Cucina Cupcake Maker 13465, manufactured by SENSIO INC. The main components such as the heat fuse, heating elements, LEDs, and wires that make the device function can be observed after the disassembly. Moreover, an electric schematic diagram for the device can be created based on the observations.

The heating elements can become quite hot. Therefore, make sure to unplug the device from the power supply and allow it to sufficiently cool down, before starting the disassembly. Also wear hand gloves, because the metal alloy surfaces can be greasy.

    • Remove the 6 mm screw using a Phillips #2 screw driver that attaches the cable clamp and the insulating cover to the main body.

    • Pull out the yellow wire from the clamp

    • Remove the insulating cover.

    • The bottom cupcake heating element is located below the insulating cover. It has a resistance of 39.4 ohm at room temperature.

    • Remove the two screws that attach the heat switch clamp to the body using the Phillips #2 screwdriver.

    • Pull out the heat fuse.

    • Be careful when removing the heat switch so that it does not break.

    • The heat switch opens when the temperature is above 165 degree Celsius.

    • The device does not have any switch. It turns on automatically when the power cable is connected to a 120 volt AC supply. It has a power rating of 710 Watts.

    • The current passes through the heat switch before going through the two heating elements.

    • Both the green and orange LED light up when the device is working. However, the heat switch opens if the temperature becomes very high (exceeds 165 degree Celsius).

    • Therefore, current stops flowing through the heating elements to prevent any accident.

    • When the fuse melts, only the orange LED will remain on , indicating that the heating elements have been shut off.
