If you see that the battery or battery compartment is corroded, do not allow it to come into contact with your skin or eyes. Alkaline batteries can leak potassium hydroxide, an agent that is capable of burning, corroding, or destroying tissue.

Are there any option for replacing the latch together with the spring?
I wanted to replace these after a battery leak, but I'm unable to find any sources for the part needed unless you want to buy a full set of headphones from some one else.
