    • Flip speaker over so that the bottom is facing up.

    • Using the blue spudger, lift the gray foam up and slowly peel it off with your hand.

    • Using the screwdriver, unscrew three screws.

    • Detach the bottom cover from the rest of the speaker by pulling the two in opposite directions.

These are not the screws I have in my bose speaker. These are standard TORX screws ( with 6 sides) bose uses a special 5 sided secure torx screw(with a dot in the middle of the hole). A screwdriver or a screw-bit for these screws is very hard to find. I am still searching for one

    • Remove the two screws connecting the motherboard to the bottom cover of the speaker.

    • Remove the bottom cover.

    • Using your hands, grip and separate the soft plastic and the metal casing away from each other with some small force.

My speaker seems to have a loose connection- I’m not sure if something just needs to be soldered— everything works- but the sound is not coming out- but if I put some pressure on it- I can get the sound to play. Any suggestions? Sad cause it’s bike season now!! Love this thing! Great job on the fixes guys!

    • (2) two of the screws are shown here, the other side will look the same.

    • Remove the 3 screws holding down the top circuit board.

  9. ai3pFkKGLJBomrkF
    • Lift up and look on the underside of the circuit board.

    • Using the plastic opening tool, pry open the wide clamp keeping a ribbon to the top circuit board. The top circuit board can now freely be removed from the device.

Anyone know the J403 FPC connector part number? Looks like a 24pin part, maybe 0.5mm pitch? I think the Hirose part is similar but i’m not sure. Would be great to get a P/N.
