Einleitung
Replacing the speaker in the Canon PowerShot G3 is not a difficult task, but can take some time to disassemble and reassemble the camera.
Note: There are many screws to be removed before you can reach the speaker. It is advised to not continue until you have a magnetic pad to place the screws on.

Once the screws are removed, remove the back panel. The panel should be able to be removed by hand.

The front of the camera should now resemble the picture shown. (Image 1)

Remove the capacitor/speaker housing using your finger nail or other thin object to lift it up around the edges. (Image 2)

To remove the circuit ribbon (brown strip) pull it out of the plastic piece it is connected to.

Disconnect the speaker wires from the camera, then use a small flat head screw driver to lift the speaker out of its housing.

Order a new speaker from the manufacturer or take it to a local electronics store to see if they have one.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
