If the volume knob on your Crosley Cruiser (CR8005A) is cracked, damaged, or having trouble turning, this guide will show you how to safely remove and replace it. (You can also remove the knob if you just want to inspect, clean, or customize it.)

The only tool required is a plastic opening tool or spudger.

  1. WkXf5ZJFcVw3kKiJ
    • Identify the volume knob.

    • It is in the bottom-right corner of the turntable, just under the power light.

    • Make sure that the power is off.

    • Turn the volume knob counterclockwise as far as possible.

    • Unplug the power cord.

    • The power light should be off. If the light is glowing red, wait until the light goes out.

  3. QcHlJhRsQherkJK2
    • Slip the plastic opening tool between the knob and the turntable.

    • In place of an opening tool, a spudger will also work.

    • Use the opening tool to pry open the knob.

    • To prevent the knob from flying off, you can keep one hand lightly on top of the knob for security. There may be an audible click as the knob comes off.

  5. Gbrym4UeKpQqqwB6
    • The knob should now be free to inspect, customize, or replace.

Abschluss

To put the knob back on, push the knob directly down onto its peg.
