Use this guide to replace or upgrade the system memory or ram in your Dell G5 5000 Gaming Desktop.
The RAM (Random Access Memory) is a component inside the computer that supplies information for the processor (or CPU) to use. Faulty ram in the system can cause the full amount of memory to not appear in task manager or can cause the system to fail to start altogether. You may also see the ram usage in task manager and if this usage is very high. If the full amount of ram is showing, this may indicate you need to replace the ram with higher modules.
This system uses DDR4 Ram and supports both 2666MHz and 2933MHz. You can also use 3200MHz ram however it will run at the lower 2666MHz and 2933MHz. This device supports configuration capacities of 8GB to 128GB. The amount of memory per module that this PC supports is between 4GB and 32GB
