Over time, a laptop's CMOS battery will stop holding it's charge and eventually die out. This guide will show how to remove and replace the CMOS battery of the device.

    • Remove the two 6.5 mm PH1 Philips head screws on the back panel.

    • Lift up the small panel from the top, using the plastic opening tools if necessary.

    • Remove the CMOS battery with the plastic opening tools.

    • Be careful while prying it open, the battery holder can break if you use too much force.
