The Dell Inspiron 7486 Chromebook uses an internal battery which is unlike some laptops that have an external battery.
The battery provides power to the Chromebook. After time the battery can either start to lose its holding charge which reduces the amount of time you can use your Chromebook without an AC adapter or become defective. If this happens then the battery must be replaced.
This guide will show users how to properly replace a battery that is defective or can no longer hold a charge.
This is an easy procedure; however, care must be taken because the battery is an electrical device. Make sure that your Chromebook is turned off and not plugged into the AC adapter.
