if you cannot hear anything from your Dell Latitude 3380, it is possible that your audio card in the laptop has malfunctioned and may need to be replaced.
Before starting, make sure to properly shut down the laptop and drain all power. Also, make sure you have the replacement part and the proper tools in order to do the repairs.

Turn the laptop over so that the back is facing up.

Remove the nine 3 mm screws with a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Gently disconnect the audio jack from the motherboard.

Remove the single 3 mm screw using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Lift up on the audio card and remove it from the laptop.
