Dell Latitude D830 Battery Replacement

Orient the laptop so the opening is facing you.

Flip the laptop over, so the opening is still facing you.

Place finger/ thumb on the slide button, then push the button forward

This unlocks the battery.

Place finger/thumb under the ledge.

Lift up the ledge, this allows the battery to be removed.

The battery is now removed.

To insert a new battery, orient the battery with the battery opening.

Insert the new battery with the left side being placed in first.

Press the new battery down until a "click" is heard.
