Release the latch or latches connected to the battery that hold it in place.

Remove the old battery from its storage bay.

Pry up the coin-cell battery to release the double-stick adhesive tape on the bottom of the coin-cell battery, then lift it out of the computer. Then, disconnect the coin-cell battery cable from the system board.

With your replacement battery, coin-cell battery cable to the system board. Then, remove the adhesive backing paper from the coin-cell battery. Slide the battery under the tab, then press down to seal the tape on bottom.
