Einleitung
RAM stands for Random-Access-Memory. RAM is essentially a short-term memory that is used to store data for computer processors to receive instructions. Adding more RAM is the easiest way to boost the performance of your computer. Make sure to check the available RAM slots in your motherboard. Also, check the specification of the motherboard to find out the maximum RAM capacity that is supported by your motherboard.
Only ECC RAM is compatible with the DELL Precision T5600 workstation.
Before you begin, check your workstation's requirements to ensure that your replacement RAM is compatible with your workstation.

Lay the case on its side with the handle side pointing up. Remove the side panel of the computer case by pulling on the handle, as shown in this step.

Unlock the RAM by pressing down on the tabs on each end of the RAM socket.

Once both tabs have been pushed down, gently pull out the existing RAM stick from the motherboard.

Gently insert the RAM into the socket until you feel the tabs from Step 3 click into place.

Ensure that both ends of the RAM are secured by their tabs.

Reattach the side panel from Step 2. Plug your computer back up to the power supply and power on your computer.

Once powered on, to verify the installation:

Right-click on 'This PC'

Left-click on 'Properties'

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
