In this guide, we will be showing you how to remove and replace the Palm-Rest.

    • Slide the release latches to unlock the battery.

    • Slide the battery and remove it from the computer.

    • Starting on the right, pry up the keyboard from the computer.

    Might need to be a little rough at this point. I had a few marks on the plastic bezel. Needed to use a small Flathead screwdriver but something plastic might be better to use.

    • Flip the keyboard over and lay it on the palmrest.

    • Disconnect the keyboard cable from the system board.

    • Remove the keyboard from the computer.

    • Remove the screws at the base of the computer.

    • Flip the computer and disconnect the power board cable and the touchpad cable.

    • Remove the screws that secure the palmrest to the computer.

    • With a plastic carefully pry up the palmrest along the edges. Lift the palm-rest and remove from the computer.
