Disassembling Motorola V180 Connector ribbon/inside screen cover

Disassembling top half to get to connector ribbon, inside screen, and speaker.

    • Pull at top of faceplate, and it will pop off.

    • Unscrew four screws on front cover.

    • Slide out metallic silver cover.

    • This piece is wedged in tight. Try to slide out one hook at a time, instead of both simultaneously.

    • Use a tool to wedge in between the silver and black parts on the cover.

    • Silver part should now snap off.

    • Black rubber part may now be easily removed.

    • Use a soldering iron to disconnect the connector ribbon from the phone.
