Einleitung
If your flash will no longer pop up and you have followed the troubleshooting steps you can try replacing the spring by following this guide. This can be a complicated process though, so make sure you have tried other options first.

Use the Tri-point Y0 screwdriver to remove the two 0.5mm screws on the horizontal axis.

Remove the other two 0.5mm screws on the bottom with the PH00 screwdriver.

Once you unscrew all of the screws, carefully remove the rear casing.

Detach the ribbon cable by lifting the tab on the connector.

Use a PH00 screwdriver to unscrew the 0.5m screw located at the center of the flash pop up

Locate the spring and grasp with the tweezers. Pinch and compress the spring to remove it from the camera housing. Slide the lever that was holding the spring out of the camera housing.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

(1) Between step 5 & step 7 you should have remove the 2 screws under the flash pop up.
(2) Wish you had a closer view of the spring installation.
The flash appears to be a chronic problem with my Fuji camera. I have had it for repair with agent 3 times already! Repairs have cost more than the camera.It has happened again on a brand new flash, so I’m trying to have a look myself to assess if I can repair this issue which seems to be more of a defect in the camera.
Thanks for a great guide…….so, I can see the top of the spring in your demo; but what I would like to see is the other end of the spring…. as from what I can see (on my camera) my spring does not appear to be broken. In fact the technician always says that he reinforced it(?) and I would like your opinion before proceeding .

what i dont understand is why to remove the back of the camera?
