Hello!
In this guide I will show you how to replace HDD/SSD in your Fujitsu Lifebook E546 laptop! This is very simple process. If you are doing this for the first time, take your time. I don't take any responsibility for any damage done by yourself!

First of all, remove your battery.

Pull and hold the little tab (1) down.

The move second tab left (2). Both tabs should be now secured in open position.

Now you can lift up battery by that notch (3). That's it.

To remove HDD/SSD bay cover, undo one screw.

Then pull the cover up by that notch. Use some force since cover seats quite hard. This should be done by finger, but if can't do it that way, use some plastic card or guitar pick.

Now with HDD cover off, we can remove our disk.

Gently press on the disk and move it lelt - away from SATA connector, until it'll be disconnected.

Then, pull it upwards and out of HDD/SSD bay. Don't forget about that rubber element as it is a part form laptop, pull it off of old HDD and push it onto new one.

Beware! This laptop can only fit slim (7mm thick) 2,5" HDDs! Normal sized old HDDs may not fit. 2,5" SSDs regular thickness is 7mm, so they should fit.

To insert new disk, aim to insert the connectors first, then gently press it down into the bay.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
