Einleitung

Für diese Anleitung brauchst du den iOpener und den schwarzen Spudger, um das kaputte Display vom Gerät zu entfernen. Nach dem Displayaustausch ist das Gerät nicht mehr wasserdicht.

    • Lege einen erwärmten iOpener 30 Sekunden lang auf das Display, um den Kleber aufzuweichen.

    • Setze einen Spudger zwischen Display und Gehäuse der Uhr ein.

    • Heble mit den Spudger nach oben und führe ihn um die Kanten des Displays herum, um es vom Gehäuse abzulösen.

    • Das Display ist noch mit Flachbandkabeln verbunden, entferne es deshalb noch nicht vollständig.

If only the touch part is broken, you can change only this one.  you have to heat the whole and insert a solid wire between the LCD screen and the touch part to separate them.  then clean the LCD screen and use a UV glue to glue the new touch screen.  it costs half as much as buying the whole thing.

Hello, is the watch still water resistant, after changing the display?

pre-owned screen from ebay, (new/never used) for £5uk.

The first instruction about entering via the top left corner is nigh on impossible unless you’re willing to damage the plastic surround which is in effect a raised bezel to protect the glass.

Since the reason for swap was a slightly cracked screen, I broke through the corner of the glass and unpeeled the shards of screen from the inner frame using heat and a scalpel to remove the adhesive. I burned through 10 minutes a few times doing this, but once the frame was clear, the replacement process was an absolute breeze.

No gasket/seal was available, so I used 1mm double-sided and followed the frame as a guide, it’s overlapped, but I’d be wary of suggesting it’s still waterproof.

Thanks for the guide, it was super helpful, and without it, I would never have attempted the repair!

I purchased my new screen through Amazon. It will take a month, or so, to get it shipped to you, as it comes from China. Received mine today and have not had chance to install it yet. but it looks good.
