This guide will show you how to replace one or both fans on the the Aero 14 or 15w/x. I used a 15w for this guide, which is mostly the same apart from the display, gpu, and power adapter (none of which are relevant to this guide).

Use a plastic pick, or a very small flathead on the bottom long section, and gradually pull up the panel as you go up the sides
-
-
-
Remove the Philips #00 screws from whichever fan you are replacing and peel it away from the adhesive (you can try attaching the new fan to the adhesive but it's not required)
-
It is recommended that you reapply the thermal paste
-
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Hey !
thanks for the tuto..
I have the new design of this laptop (gigabyte AERO 15 OLED YA, the one with the doubble hinges)… and i was wondering if the fans are the same as the ones in the tuto or not…
one of mine is broken ( I suspect a broken bearing) and i want to replace them.
have a nice day !

I couldn’t find any information on the newer models. The model numbers should be on the backside of the fans if you remove the assembly (I listed the model numbers of the fans for this one in the parts section).
Even if they aren’t the same, the merchant might still have them.

Hey ! I just bought the Philips screwdrivers and the fan assembly is not the same as yours. I have 2 more heat pipes, the batterie is more on the right and the secondary ssd is on the left side of the batterie.
I’ll first clean my fans ( totally full of dirt/dust) while installed. I have to work on the machine. I’ll respond to this post with the model numbers for the newer gen versions.
Have a nice day !

Can this fan repair still be applied to Aero Gigabyte 17 inch laptop? I hear clicking or grinding with my fans. I used Air Duster spray to help remove excess dust. I’m also using a laptop cooler to help cool my laptop just in case.
I appreciate your detailed guide for helping me to clean my laptop!
