If your laptop screen begins to fail by displaying distorted images or coloring, being pixelated, displaying resolution lines, having broken plastic, or black splotches on the display, use this guide to remove and replace your screen. To troubleshoot screen problem, refer to the guide here.

    • Open the device so the screen is facing out.

    • Slide a thin plastic card into the space between the screen and the bezel. Slide the card around the entire screen to detach the case.

    • There is glue at the bottom so extra force may be needed to remove it.

    • Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to unscrew the four screws at the top corners and the two screws at the bottom corners.

    • Remove the screen from the frame.

    • Remove the tape on the cable connected to the screen. Unplug the cable.
