A speaker is a device that converts an electrical audio signal into sound. If your HP Pavilion 17-f127ds laptop is not producing clear audio, intermittent, or no sound, use this guide to replace the speakers. This guide provides a walk-through of the steps needed to remove the malfunctioning speakers and replace them with new speakers.

There is no specific training required before executing the guide. To avoid causing any damages, be sure to turn off your laptop before beginning this guide. Make sure you have all of the necessary tools and be careful when going through each step.

    • Using a Phillips #1 screwdriver, remove the thirteen screws on the back of your laptop.

    These instructions miss \*8\* screws.

The Optical Drive must be removed.
Under the Optical drive are 2 silver screws which must be removed with a #0 Phillips
Where the battery was removed, there is 1 black screw at each end holding down the black foot mounts beside the battery area.
You must also, using a spudging tool, remove the rubber feet on each side of the battery area.
Under each rubber foot is 1 phillips screw to be removed. (total 2)
Then, using a spudging tool, the black foot mounts must be removed.
Under each black foot mount, there is 1 #1 phillips screw to remove. (total 2)
Now the keyboard can actually be removed in the next step without breaking it.
