This guide will outline how to remove and replace the main rear speaker of the HTC Desire V smartphone.

    • Gently pry back cover away from phone.

    • If you are having difficulty you may need to use a Spudger or plastic opener.

    • Lever the battery out from the bottom end first.

    • Do not bend or puncture the battery.

    • Use a Torx T5 screwdriver to unscrew and remove five 3.0 mm screws from the rear frame.

    • Use an opening tool or a spudger to gently remove the rear frame.

    • Using a smaller prying tool, spudger or similar, lever up the speaker at the bottom end of the phone shown in the picture (bottom right)

    • The bottom is sticky, so expect some resistance
