If your Hover-1 Rally (model H1-RALY) scooter squeaks or fails to stop when you apply the brake, use this guide to replace the foot brake. The brake pad should be checked first when brakes are ineffective.

Foot brake replacement is common and necessary after long-term use. Avoid riding in dust and other debris to increase the lifespan of your brake pads.

Make sure to power off the scooter before you replace the brake pad.

    • Remove the 4 mm screw in center of the wheel with a 4 mm hex key.

    • Flip the scooter and remove the same size screw from the opposite side of the wheel.

The bit for the screwdriver is a hex/allen bit, not a Phillips.

You don’t need to specify which direction to turn the screwdriver to remove the screw.

    • Slide the plastic side piece off from both sides of the scooter.

    • Two 4 mm screws and 2 side panels are taken out.

Instead of remove say slide. It is more descriptive.

    • On the opposite side of the brake, remove the silver brake pad.

    • If this is your first time replacing this part, the removal might require more force. You may need to use the flat end of a spudger to pry it off.

Brake is spelled wrong in the first bullet point.

The second bullet point can be a note, as it is not a step. It is extra detail on how to execute the step with ease. Change the bullet to a note.
