How to Boot to a PCIe Drive on a Mac Pro 2009-2012

Einleitung

    • Download the OS

    • Please note: it only works with Mac Os Mojave.

    • For 2009 models the firmware needs to be flashed and needs a Metal capable card.

    • Format the drive as APFS if its an SSD or MacOS extended (journaled) if its an HDD, BOTH need GUID partition mapping.

    • Install the OS.

    • Have patience while it installs.

    • WAIT JUST DO IT!

    • Hold down Alt/Option when you hear the chime.

    • Select the SSD (Name of your choice).
