If powder make-up is dropped it can crack. It's such a waste to throw out good make-up, so this guide will teach you how to salvage it.

    • Using the metal butter knife or metal spudger, break up the entire pan of powder into fine pieces.

    • Pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol into the cap.

    • Slowly add the rubbing alcohol from the cap to the powder and mix it with the knife as you go.

    • The powder will become creamy with no chunks or bumps. Use the side of the knife to smooth over the top surface.

    • To completely smooth over the top surface, use a clean finger to push out the edges and even out the surface.

    • Wait a few hours to let dry before closing the lid. The rubbing alcohol will evaporate, leaving you with a pressed solid ready for re-use.

    • If the powder is not fully dry, let it sit for another hour and continue to check back.

It's also good to mash the surface down with something flat like a coin on top of a paper towel, while it's still a little malleable. This way, you get an even, similar texture as when it was new.
