If you notice that the print bed on your Creality Ender-3 Pro 3D printer is wobbling, the wheel bearings under the print bed that align with the y-axis have probably come loose from the railing holding them in place.

The printer uses very thin layers of filament, so any sort of movement outside of the precise instructions given to it will result in failed prints until a fix is made. This guide will illustrate how to turn the eccentric nut connected to the loose wheel bearing in order to secure the wheel bearing to its railing.

Before beginning this repair, disconnect the printer from its power source and make sure the print bed is cooled to room temperature.

    • Unscrew the leveling wheels under the bed and remove the print bed from its brackets.

    • Use the 6 mm open-end wrench to hold the bottom of the bolt connections that are not in contact with the railing, then loosen the bolts with a 3 mm hex key.

    • Do not remove the bolts, as this could move the bolt connection further from the railing.

    • Orient the eccentric nut with the 10 mm open-end wrench, turning it until the wheel bearing is in contact with the rail.

    • Hold the bottom of the loosened bolt-connection with the 6 mm open-end wrench, then refasten the bolt with a 3 mm hex key.

    • Do not overtighten the bolt connection as this could strip the screw head.

    • Test the wheel bearing for slippage, using your fingers to attempt to turn the wheel bearing.

    • If slippage remains persistent, repeat steps 2-5 until the wheel bearing does not slip on the rail guide when tested.

    • Place the print bed back over its bracket, refastening it with the leveling wheels.

Abschluss

Your y-axis should now be secured without the worry of misprinted layers. Happy printing!
