If your reusable face mask has a detached strap, use this guide to reattach the ripped strap.
The strap on reusable face masks is used to secure the mask onto your face, a ripped strap will cause the mask to not fully cover your mouth and nose. With the current health climate, it is important to ensure that face coverings are being used properly and effectively.
This guide includes the usage of hand sewing needles and scissors, which when handled incorrectly could cause injury to the user. There are also steps that include intricate hand work which may be difficult for those with hand joint issues.

Using a pair of scissors cut off any potential fraying on both the face mask and the detached strap.

Place the sewing thread through the hole of the hand sewing needle, this is called threading the needle.

Secure the far end of the sewing thread with a knot.

Hand stitch the strap to the mask.

Repeat this until the strap is fully attached to the face mask.

To end the sewing process thread the needle under the nearest stitch and pull the needle through the loop that is formed, this should create a knot.

Do this twice to secure the stitches in place.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
