Einleitung
If your door lock has finally succumbed to wear-and-tear or is no longer functioning the way it should, the steps in this guide will show you how to fully replace and install a new one.
A faulty door lock can lead to an unsafe environment and potentially cause harm to those occupying the property.
Before using this guide, ensure that the area around the lock and the door is clear of any debris that may interfere with the removal and installation of the new lock. Generally a small brush or cloth can be used to clear a small build up of dust or debris.
Additionally, make sure a cloth or container is placed below the door in case the lock falls off during installation to ensure no damage is done to the floor.
This fix should be relatively straight-forward and will take around 15-20 minutes to complete and won’t require any special skills.
Once you’ve cleared the area and have your tools ready, please proceed to step 1!
