BEFORE STARTING, note that this repair guide requires soldering experience!

    • Turn off the cellphone by pressing down on the red "END" button for 3 seconds.

    • Flip cellphone over and press up on the gray sliding mechanism towards the top of the phone. At the same time, pull on the large silver battery and it should come right off.

    • Use the T7 Torx screwdriver to remove the four screws that are in the cavity where the battery was.

    • Carefully wedge the spudger around the sides of the plastic casing and pry off the back side of the phone.

    • Be careful when prying off the case. The spudger can damage the phone case.

    • Gently pry off the logic board with the spudger; notice the gold strip that connects the logic board to the rest of the phone.

    • Prying the logic board off too quickly may damage the strip.

    • Desolder the part of the gold strip that is attached to the logic board.

    • Use the spudger to carefully lift up the small latch that holds the gold strip onto the logic board.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

It seems you have snapped off the female connector door (As I have following your guide; this is the black piece with pins attached to the bottom of the gold strip) from the logic board... I was told that the device is broken in this state, since the strip was to be released from the connector, but am wondering if the door can just be soldered back onto the logic board and still be functioning?
