This screen replacement guide will show you how to replace your defective LCD screen on your Lenovo U410. You will need a Phillips #1 screwdriver and a metal spudger. Be careful when removing the plastic trim and connectors because you can easily break them.

    • Power off the laptop.

    • Using the metal spudger, gently pry off the black trim around the screen.

    • Metal spudger can be used, but using your hand will prevent the screen and the plastic border from any damage.

    • Remove the six 3 mm Phillips #1 screws holding the screen to the laptop.

    • Ignore the "Do not touch" label on the bottom portion of the screen. It will not damage the laptop.

    • Lower LCD screen onto the keyboard.

    • Find the gold connector on the bottom of the LCD panel.

    • Gently grab the connector on both sides and pull the connector straight out.

    • Connector cable is very fragile. Use the least amount of force possible.
