Einleitung

If you are unable to move the mouse and it is overly sensitive, use this guide to replace your touchpad.

    • Shut down and unplug your laptop before you begin.

    • Remove the nine 6 mm screws using a T5 Torx Screwdriver.

    • Remove the two 10 mm screws using a T5 Torx Screwdriver.

    • Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry off the back cover.

    • Remove the back cover.

    • Disconnect the battery by using a plastic opening tool or your fingers to push the connector towards the battery.

    • Do not pry or pull on the socket itself or you risk damaging the motherboard.

    Step does not include disconnecting the cord from the battery. Additional bullet may be necessary.

    • Remove the three 4 mm screws using a T5 Torx Screwdriver.

    • Remove the battery.

    • Locate the touch pad and remove the two 3 mm screws using a T5 Torx Screwdriver.

    • Disconnect the touch pad chip from the motherboard.

    • Disconnect the bronze piece of tape from touch pad and set it off to the side.

    • Open the laptop and, with the assistance of the iFixit blue plastic tool, guide the touch pad through, it should come out on its own.
