Einleitung
Hello everyone, in this guide Ill be showing you how to open the laptop in order to change the thermal paste, pads as well as to possibly upgrade the RAM or the SSDs inside.
-
-
Unscrew the 13 screws holding the back panel in place.
-
Use a plastic prying tool to carefully release all the clips.
-
-
-
Unscrew the 5 screws holding the CPU heatsink. Lift it up, gently.
-
Clean the old thermal paste both from the cooler and the processors. It is best to use isopropyl alcohol and cotton swabs or paper towel, but be careful not to go too hard on the dies.
-
Don`t use too much thermal paste, just enough to cover some portion of the die. If you have a spreader, use it. The thermal paste will apply evenly after you tighten the heatsink.
-
Replace the thermal pads if necessary. Be sure to use the same thickness.
-
-
-
A lot of dust can be trapped inside the fans and sometimes opening the inclosure is needed for a perfect clean.
-
You do not have to remove the whole fan assembly from the laptop to perform this step.
-
Remove the 6 screws that hold the fan panel in place.
-
Use compressed air and/or a brush to remove any dust.
-
-
-
Once you opened the back cover, it is a good idea to upgrade the SSDs and RAM if you want.
-
The RAM slots are under the metal bracket that you have to carefully lift up.
-
It is also recommended to use compressed air to remove any dust in the laptop.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
