A wireless LAN card is the part of a laptop that allows wireless access to a network. With one, you do not need a direct connection using an Ethernet cable. The wireless LAN card is responsible for the connection, speed, and stability in staying connected with a network. If your wireless connection is unstable or disconnecting randomly, then it might be time to replace your card.

This guide is to help replace a faulty wireless LAN card in the Lenovo Legion Y530-15ICH.

After replacing the faulty wireless LAN card, you should be able to connect to a wireless network connection. The connection should be stable and not randomly disconnecting. If this doesn’t fix your problem, then you may have to check the router or wireless connection point.

Great guide! I would like to note that when removing the bottom panel some of the seam, especially around the side vents, can be a little hard to find as the seam follows the vent from the bottom to the top. I started prying at the front and then moved to the back, and then to the vent areas on the sides last. That helped make getting the pick in around the vents easier.
