This is ridiculous. The written guides were much easier to follow. I struggled with this. The video would be good as a supplement to the written guides, not as a. replacement. please return the written guides.

I agree, written guides are much easier

where can I find the written guide?

The step guides probably take allot more work but they are so much more informative. You actually learn the computer and all its components as you are disassembling. The videos shows you what to do but its not always obvious what component you are removing. The old guides were great. I guess we were spoiled.

the site seems to have down graded in quality, videos are not near as nice to work with as the step by step, cheap downgrade.

Don't forget that the Touch ID assembly from the replacement logic board also needs to be changed in order to enable Touch ID otherwise it will only function as an on/off button.

I'm just going to start working on these machines so I'm a little unclear. Is the touch ID assembly mounted to the frame or the board? There is no guide to remove the touch ID assembly so I'm in the dark. Is the Touch ID on a Mac only compatible with that board?

Where the top left clip is undone at 6:00 in the video, there is a second smaller clip hidden beneath it. Unclip that as well before removing the motherboard.

I agree with the comments about the value of a stepwise guide. Nevertheless a big thank you to Arty. This video helped me re-paste my heat sink.
