    -> if it is apple design, the chip marking should be with Apple logo or with Apple's part number such as APLXXXX/33XSXXXX etc. From the the chip marking, most likely, it is is customized part from existing suppliers.

Any idea about the vendor of audio codec is? Still Cirrus Logic?

Do you have Chip Identification for audio board?

An accelerometer and gyro can greatly enhance the laptop’s ability to locate itself in 3D space and enhance location awareness. This can help with its mesh location network for AirTags, or along with the camera and AI it can allow the laptop to leverage RoomPlan. The gyro/accel combo can also help with Spatial Audio and calibrate itself with AirPods. Wonder what future airpod features are coming down the pipe.

Hi, Great work! Any idea why does it have three CD3217B13 Type C controllers for two Type C ports in Step2? I see only two TBT3 and USB2 redriver as expected.

Hi Manasa,

Two of the USB type-C controllers are used for driving the two USB type-C ports while the last one is likely used for the MagSafe 3 port for charging.

To illustrate what I said above, the predicted block diagram for this M2 Macbook Air is linked here. All of the three USB type-C controllers are boxed in red. #1 and #2 boxed are used for USB type-C ports while the last one boxed (#3) is used for driving the MagSafe port.

Do you have any idea of which die from SK Hynix those HN3T1BA4GAX170 are from? If they are like TLC 512Gb V7 176-Layers, or anything like that?
