This guide will show you how to patch a small hole in dirt bike fuel tank.

  1. totyxnjkMfwMOaui
    • First, you will need to sand down the rough edges around the hole in fuel tank.

    • Make sure the hole in the fuel tank and its surrounding is as smooth as possible.

  2. HydVDcdaUwDHP2Ud
    • Once the hole is smooth. Apply fuel patch with q-tip over hole and the surrounding edges.

  3. ffJmoy2YerYVsZRH
    • Make sure that the ointment is spread thickly over the hole.

  4. CUPKcMeZEcp6h2Zk
    • Avoid having air pockets in the ointment. Air pockets may make the patch less effective or not seal at all.

    • Once the ointment is spread over smoothly, you will need to rub the edges out so there is no edge that can be caught on something.

  5. jRuy2l6R4WcHAUc5
    • Let the patch dry over.

    • Try not to touch patch until completely dry. This may take a couple hours.

    • Next, you will need to check the patch after completely dry. Make sure there is no bubbles or edges where there could be another potential leak.

    • Once patch is dry put fuel in the tank.

    • When tank is full check to see if there are any leaks in the patch. Leaks consist of fuel dripping or even air leak from patch.

    • If there are leaks scrape off patch and repeat process.

    • When there are no leaks start riding. Your tank is now patched. Check up on patch after ride to make sure it is still sealed.
