If the UV light bulb in your Philips Sonicare FlexCare Sanitizer charging port is no longer working and needs to be replaced, follow these 4 step-by-step instructions. Following these instructions carefully will ensure that the light bulb will be replaced in an efficient manner and work to establish the port status once again. To reassemble the product after replacement of the light bulb, follow the steps in reverse order.
-
-
Before initiating the process, ensure that the sanitizer is not plugged into an outlet. Swing the door open to expose the interior of the sanitizing device.
-
-
-
Grip the sides of the plastic cover that is shielding the circuitry. Pull the cover outward to remove it from the sanitizer.
-
-
-
Squeeze the sides of the guard that is placed over the UV light bulb. Pull the piece outward to remove it.
-
-
-
Before holding the light bulb, ensure that it is not warm due to previous use. Once that is confirmed, take a hold of the light bulb by the threaded surface and rotate it while pulling it outward. Have a compatible UV bulb to replace the old one.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

I’ve had mines less than a year. The uv lamp makes a “whizz sound for a second and then stops. No noise. No light. Does the bulb needs to be replaced ? Is it normal for it to die in 9 mths?
I’ve had my unit for over 7 years, I was getting ready to replace it. Thanks so much, I’m not a handy person and I’m really pleased to see that I could fix this problem with your helpful advice!
Just changed the bulb and it still does not work :( :( :(
