Remove the screw on the top right side of the closet door that is not functioning correctly. Use a Phillips head screwdriver and rotate the screw counter clockwise until it falls out. You might want to use a stepladder to do this if you can't reach easily.
-
Reminder Be sure to put the screws where you can find them again! I suggest using a bowl or a cup. You will need the screws again later.
-
Do the same to the top left side of the closet door.
-
-
-
Run screw driver through the bottom track to clear any debris.
-
Spray a mixture of WD-40 and cleaning solution onto a clean rag.
-
Wipe down the track with the rag.
-
-
-
Locate the 2 rollers hanging from the top track.
-
Pull the 2 rollers to the opposite ends of the track.
-
Push the roller up and away from yourself and it should come right off. Repeat this process for the other roller.
-
-
-
Inspect both rollers making sure neither are broken.
-
Replace the broken roller if necessary.
-
Spray the entirety of the roller with WD-40.
-
-
-
Put both rollers back on top track using the same method you used to get them off.
-
Note Make sure the flat part of the roller is facing the outside for both rollers.
-
-
-
Have a friend hold up closet door while you align rollers with the slots of the closet door.
-
Once the rollers are aligned, help your friend carefully slide the rollers back into the door.
-
Note Use the second picture of this step as a reference on how to slide the rollers back into the door.
-
-
-
Screw the the 2 screws you took out in step 1 back in.
-
Turn the screws clockwise to tighten
