This guide shows you how to replace the torsion levers for both the cutting depth and blade angle guides of the saw. These parts made out of plastic and will break if too much force is applied. For more information take a look at our troubleshooting guide.

    • Remove the battery by pressing both buttons on either side of battery and pull away from the saw.

    • If there is a blade currently mounted on your saw, wear gloves.

You can make a battery replacement guide with this step to add to each guide. However, I think you want the image to clearly show you doing this. The image of the saw doesn’t help me remove the battery.

    Check this step for parallelism.

    • Determine which lever needs to be replaced. The blade depth and cut angle levers are identical part numbers, but located in different areas on this saw.

    • The blade angle lever is located on the front left of the saw and connects to the base assembly.

    • The blade depth lever is located toward the rear of the left side of the saw behind the motor shroud.

How would I determine which one needs to be replaced? Also, since there’s no action in the bullets, these seem like notes or introductory information, instead of steps in the procedure.

    • Slowly loosen the 7mm Torx T20 screw holding the blade angle guide lever in place. There is a compression spring between this screw and the lever.

    • After the screw is loose from the last thread, slowly back the screw away from the lever gradually releasing pressure in the spring.

Do you have images of you doing the orange step? How would a person back the crew away from the lever? Consider a flipbook style action shot. Also, the last part of the red bullet seems like a note, rather than a part of the action.

    • Align the new lever on the mounting post.

    • Rest spring inside the lever mounting hole and fasten in place with the 7mm Torx T20 mounting screw.

The first part of the red bullet seems very technical. Can you use more simplified language?
