So I tried every trick to get my remote to work (all the Youtube tricks). Found this, took the remote apart and got it to work with the cover off. New remote coming in two days but I just wanted to say thanks cause now I can watch TV while I wait for my new remote to arrive!!!!!!!!!!! I would not advise using the remote with the cover off, just sayin, but I am lol….

The OK button on my remote stopped working. I used these instructions to open it, cleaned the button contacts on the board with isopropyl alcohol, then very carefully reassembled it, taking care to observe the orientation of some plastic films carrying contacts for some of the buttons. It now works, though I lost a few bits of plastic opening it. This was a pain. Except for the savings in electronic waste, it was not worth the price of a new remote.
