    • Using a plastic opening tool, go around the edges of the rubber bottom. Insert the same tool under the edge of the rubber and swivel side to side. Continue moving it forward while peeling the plastic off with the precision tweezers.

Excellent instructional only addition is to be careful with the rubber pad and adhesive tape do not use sharp tool that could get between adhesive and rubber pad… Lay pad on a clean dust dirt fuzz free surface as you will need this to re-adhere to the base when I did mine It was so adhered I thought I was doing something wrong. No worry with patience and persistence it does reluctantly come off.

    • Remove the six 4.5 mm Philips #1 screws from the bottom plate using the Screwdriver J00. Take off the bottom plate.

    • Using the plastic opening tool, remove the batteries from the device.

This repair guide is less useful considering the part number for the battery is not included. There are a number of different Samsung batteries available for different devices. Since you already had the cover off, why not post the part number so that readers can order the correct part?

    • Remove the speaker grill from the device.

Additional opportunity is to repair Dings in the speaker grill. Mine was damaged when I packed it under seat of my scooter closed seat and put nasty ugly deep ding in grill. (I'm sure I'm not the first that has had this happen It dings pretty easily) I used a STEAL cased AA battery (LIke Duracell or ???) to roll it out smooth again slowly rolling back and forth on oak smooth workbench with fairly heavy pressure. Almost got it back to original condition with just a minor deviation in the surface.

Again Love your instructional and have great appreciation for your contribution to others.

    • Using the anti-static wrist strap and the metal spudger, remove the wires from the speakers.

  9. riBiVtkPTiiuqgBr
    • To put the replacement speakers onto the device, use a soldering tool to solder the wires onto the new speakers.

On re-assembly use finesse, brute force or a bigger hammer is rarely beneficial with delicate electronics, Upon re-installing grill enclosure take care sliding over charging port bluetooth activation button and input port this utilizes a ribbon flex circuit that can be damaged easily if alignment is slightly off and can damage your device rendering it useless and requiring another repair. Flex the enclosure bowing it outward to clear the protruding buttons and assuring clearance to slide into place. Also in above note Red Black speaker wires. And assure that they are in phase. Red (Positive) + and Black (Negative) - as this could very slightly effect the output accuracy of the system. (Much more critical on larger speaker systems) Maybe obvious to some but surprising how many are not aware of this.
