This is an easy DIY guide to replace the speaker. It involves removing the back cover, battery, and plastic cover over the motherboard. You will only need a screwdriver for this guide.

    • Find the triangle arrow on the back of the phone.

    • Use gentle, firm pressure to press down on the triangle arrow with your thumb until you hear a popping sound as the cover releases from the phone.

    • Slide the cover down to remove it. Set it aside.

    • Lift the battery to remove it. Set it aside.

    • Remove the headphone cover from the left side and the volume cover from the right side of the black plastic cover.

    • The speaker is located on the opposite side of the black plastic cover. Using your fingernail, pry the speaker out of the cover.
