    • Although this is not a difficult fix, it can definitely make a mess.

    • Lay down a dirty towel or work rag and place the saw on top of the towel.

    • Handle the saw with care and avoid placing your hands on or near the blade when possible.

    • Use the crescent wrench to remove the hex washer head screw and the washer.

    • Gently lift the blade up and pull it off of the internal threaded shaft.

    • If the hex washer head screw, or the entire blade spins as you turn the wrench, a quick jerk of the crescent wrench should loosen the screw.

    • Although many screws loosen in the clockwise direction, the hex washer head screw on this circular saw loosens in the counter-clockwise direction.

    • Lift up on the blade cover until it unsnaps from the washer.

    • The blade cover will come off easier if the bulk of the cover is facing away from the saw.

I've had 3 used black and decker saws and 2 used skill saws and all burnt out i didn't get to use them much but now i have the same saw as your sears craftsmen 2hp it's used to and works better than those other used brands I've bought last year so hopefully i get alot of use out of the used thing before it burns out if it burns out
